You can't do this. Mofi has their firmware and routers programmed to only work on the routers internal id numbers they provide.
Any way to get around this internal ID number?

I find Mofi's user interface and firmware to have more options than OpenWrt / GoldenOrb

Im sure there is a way around it. I've just never tried personally. You can download their openwrt firmware they use and open it with a certain program and peek around at the files and see if you see anything if you wanted. Mofi uses really old outdated firmware though.

I searched on this Mofi page:

http://mofinetwork.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=21

but could not find the OpenWrt firmware they are using?

Maybe on https://openwrt.org/ ?

I know this is an old topic, but I think I know what internal ID they are using. I have three MoFi's, one being a MOFI4500 4GXELTE V1 and two MOFI4500 4GXELTE V2's. The V1 version is about four years old and the V2's are a couple of years apart. I discovered the first three MAC hex numbers (78:A3:51) are the same on all three units. I'm sure this is no coincidence with the age difference between the MoFi's and the versions.
