Re: Optimal setup for RV

There is a RV guy that has a new startup for Cell Modems.
He has a lot of information. He keeps the antenna wires very short
and uses PoE

The Nighthawk is a Cat 16 Modem which is the good news.

The bad news is that Cell Carriers HATE this thing!
It’s going to be hard for find a SIM/Data plan that with work for you.

Starlink but they gave a probable install date of 4th quarter 2021 even though we are in the beta zone.
It only cost $100 to get on the list.

Plan-B StarLink

Starlink is now available for order to a limited number of users in your coverage area. Placing your order now will hold your place in line for future service. Orders will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Re: MoFi paddle compared to cheap LPDA

With 50FT of cable you will have signal loss in the cable even with LMR-400! Would stay off the roof!! Get a good panel with SMA connectors. Stay under 10FT of cable Here is an example. Would need more information to pick the correct antenna for your needs https://poyntdev.wpengine.com/antennas/xpol...
