Re: EM7565 Verizon support

Hm. Can you link me to this "direct Verizon unlimited plan"?! Or could you be more specific, I guess? I just want to be clear so that if I follow in your steps, I'll be good haha. We have 4 postpaid lines. Did you just add an extra one of those? I got it a while back, sometime last year, and then t...

Re: EM7565 Verizon support

I'm trying to get a LTE modem router setup on my postpaid Verizon plan as a tablet. Apparently the plan is only throttled under congestion from my most recent check here (and tablets get video up to 1080p): https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/connected-device-plan-faqs/ Is this how you finally ...

Re: PSA: AT&T Doing away with $35 iPad Unlimited.

Being a short-term/prepaid service even if it's auto-paid, the carrier is under no contractual obligation to honor the initial signup price of the service, and the TOS states that they may cancel at any time without a prior notice. Unfortunately that's just the way it is, and as the saying goes "Al...

Re: ISP wants a MOFI4500-4GXELTE-SIM4_COMBO...alternatives?

It's very common on the outskirts of san antonio area. Kinda of a monopoly for us. Vtx took over rock solid from my sources. Crowded network makes it's difficult to use. If only I can find a card that would support the AWS band to take full advantage of lte, but using mofi I still dont think it wou...

Re: Cell Tower Height

I was messing around with google earth for line of sight. I almost have line of sight, but I was just making a random guess at tower height. I guess I could just stop being lazy and go climb a tree with my binoculars to find out how high up my antenna needs to be. it shouldn't matter how high...

Re: Cell Tower Height

Anyone know an easy way to find the height of a specific cell tower? cellmapper doesn't seem to have that information, or at least not that I see. antennasearch has been down for a while for me, not sure if they have height or not. Thanks -radec antenna search was the best. there's other ways, but ...

Re: ISP wants a MOFI4500-4GXELTE-SIM4_COMBO...alternatives?

PTP means Point-To-Point packet radio service, with the advantage of really long range (over 30 miles), which can deliver up to 100Mbps (in the real world is less than half), and it's expensive compared to cellular. In some areas where there's no cellular service, PTP or PTM (Point-To-Multi radio) ...
