Re: T-Mobile Dropping Service all the sudden

Hello again, Now discovered this issue is due the Mofi Software. First hooked up a non mofi we826-t2 with mc7455 modem installed with golden orb for one week and no issues. Then hooked up the mofi again then immediately when trying to download a game kicked me off the internet. So then I took the t...

Fantastic thread!

QQ: did you notice any changes with the band / high pass filters installed on the LTE side ?
Not really, if there was any changes they were minimal.

On a MVNO?
No idea, I would guess they get less wireless resources since they share the infrastructure from another carrier.

Swwifty my friend, you are more helpful than you know and your build has helped quite a bit with other questions I might have had. Your testing with the panel antennas was also quite enlightening. I'm assuming my best bet is to just test with the antennas I get and see what bands I pick up with tho...

I assume you're talking about sim cards

My bad, did not make that clear. Meant what model modem card(s) have you used with success on AT&T plan.
oh, then in that case I've used the MC7455 and EM7565 with AT&T no issues.

Re: WE826 VS M2M NEXG H721 VS USB enclosure

If you are really serious about your network, then I would highly recommend running separate dedicated access point(s) and a dedicated router/4G modem. All modern 802.11 wifi standards have MIMO, and the latest use beamforming. Beamforming is dependent upon the client as well, and most don't support...

That's what I thought. So then, Verizon allows Pixel devices to have CA even when they are on a MVNO, but not other devices?
I don't know the exact situation here, but I have a Verizon Samsung S8 and I get 3xCA no problem.

Re: Looking for the best setup for my rural area

Will do! Thanks again for the help! My last question would be, any recommendations for LMR400 and where to find it? Trusting amazon is iffy, and Id rather buy the bulk cable (50ish feet) with my own connectors so I can make custom length runs if needed. I guess I could just order one 50ft and the c...

Re: LTE Carrier Aggregation

CA is entirely controlled by the carrier, but you can limit your modem to only certain bands, but if they aren't available on the tower side theres nothing you can do about that.

Re: Looking for the best setup for my rural area

Maybe they meant a 100x increase in signal strength? That would be 20dbm, which I think could be possible. Like I said before, forget the signal booster and just setup a connection for your internet, and use wifi calling. The problem with high gain antennas is they are very directional. If you don't...
