Re: Planning a build and have questions!

Good point! I would have overlooked that. I'm pretty close to going out 100mbps ethernet as it stands @ 65-70mbps. I wish there was a ethernet only 200+mbps modem / router option out there. Here are two setup options of using a second router, with its pros and cons: https://ltehacks.com/viewtopic.p...

Re: Quectel - Programming Carrier Bands and Groups of Bands

Is there a list of all the AT commands needed to set up the EM12g? I am looking to set up a EM12 on PagePlus. I looked at the spreadsheet posted above and decided quickly that I was in over my head. I do not want to brick the modem. Aside from the full list of commands, which bands are required for...

Re: Zbt wg1608 cheap 4g modem recommendations

Hi, I have never built a modem/router before and am looking for some advice. I have bought a zbt wg1608 5g ready router but am still trying to find the best module to use with it. Zbt only sell the LTE queltel em12-g for $98 or 5g quectel rm500q for $317. I just want a 300mps 4g LTE module to start...

Re: Mesh recommendations

Asus has a nice AirMesh system, it's pretty much plug-n-play. https://www.asus.com/microsite/AiMesh/en/index.html You could use the MoFi-4500 in bypass mode to supply internet to the mesh system, or you could flash some Asus routers with GoldenOrb so all you need is a modem in an external usb enclos...

Re: WAN Bonding with ROOter and OpenMPTCProuter

Finally got it working and stable. Disney plus, Prime and Netflix all working. Speeds are still pretty slow, but I'm in a highly congested area. Will try a speed test later tonight. This is a game changer for anyone who relies on LTE for their primary connection. Will be making a donation once ever...

Re: WG1608 Setup help

Any ideas why all my smart devices, ie tp-link light switches and honey well themorstat will not work after swapping out the we826 with the wg1608? I have an edge router 12 and a tplink ap for my network. I can put the we826 with wifix back in place of the wg1608 and everything works great. Is ther...

Re: Quectel EM160 AT commands

The following commands have been tested and work on the EM16 (EM160R), and possibly on other newer models. Disable auto-MBN mode, and set it to generic profile: AT+QMBNCFG="AutoSel",0 < 0=deactivate / 1=activate AT+QMBNCFG="Deactivate" < Activate / Deactivate AT+QMBNCFG="Select","ROW_Commercial" MBN...

Re: 1608v2 Troubles

This is super frustrating. I've built lots of pc's but I've yet to find any instructions or anything for this device. Without device support, even resetting it took research. Is there any video/manual/guide to the 1608 that you know of? Thanks for your response. As far as I know, none of the ZBT ro...

Re: ATT- Transparent Proxies - Loss of Internet Randomly - Big Thread Of info

They need to release wireguard option on the LEDE/ROOTer goldenorb firmware. It'd help a ton of people here. I agree, WireGuard is one of the fastest VPN's out there, and it's able to run on mid-range CPU routers with good throughput. By having it baked into GoldenOrb, it would solve both the carri...

Re: [SOLVED!] Losing constant Internet connection on Mofi 4500 (and my mind)

According to reports by many users, seems like ATT has finally fixed the transparent proxy issue (no more VPN required), where the router would stay connected but there's no traffic through the main http/https ports 80/443 (aka DNS lookup issue). https://forums.att.com/conversations/other-phones-dev...
